Special sky-dive event 15th May 2010

Take a leap of faith this year and raise funds for Action for M.E. this M.E. Awareness week by making an exhilarating 10,000 ft freefall skydive.

On the 15th May 2010 Action for M.E. will be hosting two special skydive events. Held in the Salisbury and Maidstone sites, this is your opportunity to raise funds whilst raising your pulse!

All keen jumpers on the day will be harnessed to a professional parachute instructor for the jump. This means that you can enjoy the view and the feeling of a jump without any of the fears. You will receive full training and a certificate to prove that you have completed a two-mile high tandem skydive.

By raising £395 (or more!) for Action for M.E. by asking your friends and colleagues to sponsor you, you can take this opportunity of a lifetime. £140 from the minimum sponsorship will go automatically to Action for M.E. – and any more that is raised over the minimum amount.

Nada Omran experienced the high of parachute jumping:

"Jumping out of the plane was my favourite part - doing a roly poly in the air, I felt almost weightless. I plummeted down at 120mph but it didn't feel fast at all, you were so high you could see the Devon coastline and the beautiful sparkling sea, even a glimmer of Wales in the distance.

"30 seconds later there was a tap on my shoulder, I retracted my arms and felt a string tug as the parachute was let out, I was now going at 30mph. I then cruised down for the remaining 5 minutes, breathless but with a permanent fixed smile on my face. I would certainly do it again!"

See what this feels like in this video.
