Join the Big Deal 4 M.E. Appeal and make a real difference to peoples lives.

If you have M.E. or know someone who does, the Big Deal 4 M.E. Appeal is the opportunity for you to get involved. You can help raise awareness of M.E. and turn a personal achievement or a social get together into vital funds for our services and projects.

The Big Deal 4 M.E. Appeal has been set up in recognition of the fact that all achievements are very big achievements when you have M.E, whether getting dressed unaided every day, completing a book, attending a lesson a week at school, volunteering or any of the other countless things that people with M.E achieve every year, often unnoticed. We think these acts of courage and determination should be celebrated and acknowledged.

Anyone can get involved with the Big Deal 4 M.E. Appeal. Just sign up here and then send one of our virtual postcards (see below) to everyone you can think of so they can celebrate your achievement with a donation. Or ask them to support your own fundraising initiatives. We need to raise close to 1m a year money which means we can go on providing information and support for people with M.E., further scientific research to help find a cure for the illness and campaign for better services.

I have M.E. and want to celebrate an achievement

Every week people with M.E. succeed in doing difficult things. For some this is getting dressed alone some mornings. For others it is managing to work or study some hours of the week. Your achievements will depend upon your energy levels and personal situation. You can raise money for us by celebrating your own personal achievements since having M.E.

Simply sign up for the Big Deal 4 M.E. Appeal and access a virtual postcard to send to family and friends to ask them to join you in celebrating this achievement by making a donation to Action for M.E. Or if you prefer when you sign up tick the box asking us to send you printed postcards for you to post to your friends. Depending on your energy levels, you can either set up your own fundraising page or ask friends and family to donate on the Big Deal 4 M.E. appeal page which we've already set up leaving a message for you.

Running your own event can be a great experience. You could take part in one of our runs, take a trek in a foreign country, take a leap of faith or create your own event personal to you. Ideas could include a coast to coast walk, a 'come dine with me' sponsored dinner party or get sponsored for learning a new skill.
