If you have M.E. or you are a friend or carer of someone with the illness you probably want to get involved and make a difference. Joining Action for M.E. is one of the simplest steps you can take to make an impact.

For just £15 a year UK membership of Action for M.E. will mean you can add your voice to the campaign and be a force for change.

Members of the Action for M.E. organisation are not members of Action for M.E. as a company law matter. As a consequence, members of the organisation do not have voting powers or legal responsibility as company members of Action for M.E. The trustees are the members of Action for M.E. as a company law matter and are also its Board of Trustees (as that term is defined in the articles of association of Action for M.E.).

Information

InterAction, our quarterly magazine for members, is packed full of the latest M.E. news, personal stories from people with the illness and ideas and tips on coping with it.
Our information publications help you to make informed choices about your illness and how you cope with it, to give your body the best chance of recovery. As a member you'll receive a special discounted rate.
Members have access to our library-by-post service, for a small charge. We have books, tapes and CDs on a range of topics relevant to M.E.

Our welfare rights helpline gives members expert information on accessing benefits

Our telephone support service is open every weekday between 11am-1pm and on Monday evening between 6.30pm-8.30pm to give you the support you need, at the end of the phone
Over 150 M.E. support groups meet across the UK for friendship, understanding and to share local information

Campaigning

We're campaigning on your behalf to ensure that M.E. is widely recognised as a serious illness which needs better services, improved funding and more research. M.E. has been misunderstood and ignored for too long and we're working with the government, health professionals and the media to urgently improve the outlook for M.E.

You can play a very important part in all our campaigns just by joining Action for M.E. and boosting the number of people we represent. You can also help us more actively by taking part in special campaigns.
